There is a new film course being offered that will teach students how to make pornographic movies. It's not being offered by a school but by a private company, and it is angering some San Diegans. Dave Cummings is a decorated Vietnam veteran on a mission bearing a message. "Anybody can do it. Look at me: I'm short, bald and ugly," Cummings said. Cummings is also one of the most prolific porn stars around, having starred in about 500 adult films. Cummings is sharing his secrets of the trade in a seminar offered by The Learning Annex. It's titled, "Learn How To Shoot Your Own Adult Video," and covers everything from budgeting to lighting and performance tips. Tasha Donahue has attended Learning Annex workshops before, but will not continue. "If we don't speak up, we're as accountable for pornography as the pornographers themselves," Donahue said. When she found out about the class, she started a petition to cancel it, gathering about 80 names in a few hours. "What our community needs is something that helps them grow as human beings, not reduces them to the lowest common denominator," Donahue said. The Learning Annex is scheduled to offer another one-night seminar in September. They currently have no plans to cancel it.
