In her late teens Zara worked as a barmaid and as a prostitute in a men's club. She found work in Italy as a topless dancer on TV quiz-show at age 19. She was photographed for magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse and then started performing in porn movies.

Between 1990 and 1992 Whites appeared in 22 porn movies both in Europe and in the United States.

In 1992, she reoriented her career towards soft core porn with a TV series for French television. She retired afterwards.
