Tera Patrick was born Linda Hopkins Shapiro on July 25, 1976 in Great Falls, Montana, USA.
She has appeared under various names, including Tera Patrick, Brooke Thomas, Sadie Jordan,
and Tara Patrick (coincidentally the real name of actress Carmen Electra). Her father is
caucasian and Jewish while her mother was born in Thailand, resulting in her exotic
physical appearance.
Tera was discovered in San Francisco, California by a modeling agent at the age of thirteen and she moved to New York City shortly thereafter. Her career began as a runway and catalog model. At eighteen, she left the world of modeling and enrolled in college, where she received her degree in nursing. In the late 1990s, Patrick began modeling again, this time nude and in softcore features. In 1999, she made the transition to porn in Andrew Blake's Aroused. Since that time, she has become one of the most popular and recognized porn movie stars in the world, having graced the pages of both Playboy and Penthouse as well as having appeared in more than seventy adult features. Today, she hosts the popular webcast The Tera Patrick Show and is active in the adult community, raising money for both the Free Speech Coalition and A.I.M Healthcare. In December of 2002, she severed ties with Digital Playground, and brought suit against them, contending she was not paid for her appearance in several Digital Playground productions. Digital Playground's countersuit contended that it owns exclusive rights to the name "Tera Patrick," and that she is signed up to produce adult entertainment only for them until the deal's expiry on January 15, 2007. Despite her ongoing lawsuits with Digital Playground, Patrick signed a two-year exclusive contract with Vivid Video on December 16, 2003. The contract calls for her to appear in at least three Vivid productions over the course of the contract. On January 9, 2004, Tera married Evan Seinfeld, singer for rock act Biohazard and actor in the series Oz. The two have made two movies for Vivid (with Seinfeld appearing under the name "Spyder Jonez"). In both, Patrick performs with several women, but the only man with whom she acts is her husband. Movies Tera Patrick on the Cover of FHM In the accompanying interview by FHM contributing writer Matthew Graham, Patrick confesses, "I might be a porn star, but I still have guilty hang-ups sometimes." "When I run into couples who recognize me, it's usually the women who are the most friendly. Once, at a Greek restaurant in New York City, a huge family was seated at a table nearby. Late in the evening, the grandmother stood up and said, 'Tera, I love you! I watch you all night long!' Her daughter almost had a heart attack out of embarrassment. The grandma replied, 'Honey, I may be old, but I'm not dead yet!'" "Being this month's cover girl is a dream come true for me," says Patrick in the issue, adding, "It was my sexiest photo shoot ever." Sources: HD Porn Pass, Wikipedia |
