Nikki Charm was born Shannon Louise Eaves on February 21, 1966 in southern California. Her
performances earned her nicknames such as "Naughty Nikki Charm" and "Nasty
Nikki Charm".
At only 4' 11" and weighing less than one hundred pounds, Charm was often cast as the innocent waif. Her lithe frame also allowed her to display amazing flexibility during sex scenes (tiny women such as Charm are known in the porn industry as "spinners"). After filming a scene for her debut porn movie, Young and Naughty, a producer reportedly said "Look out Ginger!" (in reference to porn legend Ginger Lynn, who was at the height of her popularity at the time). Charm is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame. In light of Traci Lords' revelation that she was underage during the majority of her porn career, the very young-looking Nikki found herself facing accusations and rumors of also being "illegal". She made her first porn movie soon after her eighteenth birthday, however, and was therefore legally able to appear in pornographic movies. Between 1984 and 1990, Nikki appeared in nearly fifty videos. She retired from movies around 1990, although footage from her earlier movies was "recycled" for several years. At some unknown time, Charm married and had two children. The identity of her husband and the father of her children are not publicly known, or even whether they are the same man. In the mid-1990's, Charm became a featured exotic dancer. In August 2002, she was arrested and charged with ten felony counts of burglary and grand theft. She was convicted and sentenced to a five-year prison sentence (served in the Central California Women's Facility near Chowchilla) and ordered to pay $400 in restitution.
