Hyapatia won the Miss Nude Galaxy contest in 1979, made her first porn movie in 1983 and went on to star in more than 90 porn movies before retiring in 1993.

Hyapatia was married to porn producer Bud Lee. They had two sons before divorcing in 1992. She remarried in 1997 and had another child.

She won the AVN Best Actress in 1991 for The Masseuse. In 1993 Hyapatia was inducted into the XRCO and AVN Hall of Fame. She was given the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Free Speech Coalition in 1995.
