From 1984 to 1997, Canyon appeared in nearly 200 adult films. Canyon has won several "best female performance" awards and was recently inducted into the XRCO hall of fame. She has had several stage names throughout her career, including Christie, Tara White, Tara Wine, Linda Daniel, DeeDee and Missy.

Canyon retired and returned to films several times during her career. Currently, she remains in a state of semi-retirement from the porn industry, concentrating on her web site. She also works on Sirius XM Satellite Radio's Playboy Radio as cohost, with Nicki Hunter.
