Candida Royalle was an erotic actress and is owner and president of Femme Productions, a
company which produces erotic films for women. She is also a member of American
Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and founder of Feminists for Free
Expression.
Initially trained in music, dance, and art in New York, Candida eventually entered a
career as a porn movie actress.
In 1980 Royalle founded Femme Films, with the goal of making erotica which women could

general a more realistic and emotional picture of sex. Her company has been successful,
